- ―Booto Lubble, to a spacer
Booto Lubble was a male Gungan who lived during the time of the Galactic Civil War. Stationed at Zephyr Base on Rori, he served as a liaison between the Gungans of Naboo and the Alliance to Restore the Republic. In addition to his Rebel duties, Lubble became preoccupied with impressing the commando trainer Raxa Binn, whom he attempted to court with a gift in the form of a necklace fashioned from captured Imperial equipment.
Biography
Service to the Alliance
- "Yousa be talkin' to mesa back here when yousa not bein' so busy, hey?"
- ―Booto Lubble, to a spacer
Booto Lubble was a male Gungan who served as a liaison between his people on Naboo and the Alliance to Restore the Republic during the Galactic Civil War.[1] By 1 ABY,[2] he was stationed at the Rebel Outpost on Naboo's moon of Rori, also known as Zephyr Base. In the outpost, Lubble could be found inside a small building that served as Zephyr Base’s combat guild hall. The structure contained two rooms including one outfitted with beds and another acting as an armory stocked with a supply of weapons. There, Lubble provided intelligence and support to Alliance operatives while also involving himself in more personal pursuits. Though committed to the Rebel cause, he harbored a strong fondness for[1] the Zabrak[3] commando trainer Raxa Binn, and several of his assignments revolved around efforts to impress her.[1]
The Rank Cylinder
- "Why does the rank cylinder have to be from this warrant officer?"
"Ooah, de rank cylinder tings for warrant officers bein' just de right color for matchin' Raxa Binn's eyes!" - ―A spacer and Booto Lubble
Hoping to craft a necklace as a gift for Binn, Lubble enlisted the aid of a Rebel-aligned spacer. He explained that the necklace would require the rank cylinder of a warrant officer, whose devices, he believed, carried a hue that matched Binn’s eyes. To this end, he directed the spacer to kill Warrant Officer Luhin Jinnor, an Imperial officer in Colonel Zarvold's Imperial Army battalion. Jinnor patrolled the wilderness near Zephyr Base under the guard of two Imperial Army troopers. The operative defeated the escort, killed Jinnor, and retrieved the cylinder.[1]
Lubble expressed delight when the spacer returned, declaring it the “just-right ting mesa needin’ on de necklace for Raxa.” In gratitude, he rewarded the operative with credits and hinted that further tasks would follow.[1]
The Thermal Detonator
- "Why do you want a thermal detonator for a necklace pendant?"
"Ooh, one time mesa overhearin' Raxa Binn, shesa sayin, 'Evvy tim I seein' dat Gungan, I want a termal detanator.'" - ―Booto Lubble, to a spacer
After securing the rank cylinder, Lubble sought another contribution to his necklace. This time, he requested a thermal detonator to serve as its pendant. He explained that he had once overheard Binn quip that every time she saw him, she wanted a thermal detonator, and in his earnest if misguided reasoning, he believed presenting her with one would please her. Lubble also remarked that she despised Colonel Zarvold, though he did not know why, and thought the weapon would carry sentimental value for her.[1]
Lubble identified the target as Captain Rohd Gostervek, another of Zarvold’s officers, who patrolled the Rori wilderness with four Imperial Army troopers. The spacer confronted the patrol, killed the captain and his guards, and recovered the explosive device,[1] a Merr-Sonn Class-A explosive.[4]
Lubble was overjoyed at the spacer’s return. Declaring the detonator the perfect centerpiece for his gift, he combined it with the cylinder to complete the necklace. Convinced that the unusual creation would soften Binn’s heart, he thanked the spacer profusely and rewarded them with additional credits.[1]
Personality and traits
- "My be sweetin' on de commando trainer here, Raxa Binn. Shesa mooie-mooie! My tinkin' shesa likin' a necklace made of Empire rank cylinder tings."
- ―Booto Lubble, to a spacer
Booto Lubble was an orange-skinned Gungan male with orange eyes who served the Rebel Alliance as a liaison at Zephyr Base on Rori. He spoke in the distinctive Gungan dialect, often using phrases such as “mesa,” “yousa,” and “mooie bombad” in his conversations with spacers.[1]
In addition to his official duties coordinating with fellow Gungans on Naboo, Lubble displayed a more personal side when dealing with operatives. He openly expressed admiration for[1] the Zabrak[3] commando trainer Raxa Binn, describing her as “mooie-mooie” and attempting to craft a necklace from captured Imperial equipment to impress her. His requests for a warrant officer’s rank cylinder and later a thermal detonator reflected his earnest but naïve attempts at courtship, as he believed such items would please her.[1]
Equipment
- "Yousa gettin' dat rank cylinder ting yet? My workin' on Raxa's necklace berry hard."
- ―Booto Lubble, to a spacer
During his time at Zephyr Base, Booto Lubble wore a uniform similar in appearance to those of the militiagung,[1] soldiers of the Gungan Grand Army.[5] He also possessed Rebel weapons.[6]
Behind the scenes
- "Owoo! No termal detanator? Mooie bombad! Raxa Binn, shesa nevah likin' mesa now!"
- ―Booto Lubble, to players who failed to retrieve the thermal detonator
Booto Lubble was a non-player character in the 2003 video game Star Wars Galaxies: An Empire Divided, a massively multiplayer online role-playing game developed by Sony Online Entertainment and published by LucasArts,[1] prior to its closure on December 15, 2011.[7]
Lubble offered two quests at Zephyr Base on Rori, both of which were available only to Rebel-aligned players. Each quest followed a fetch-style format centered on his attempt to craft a necklace for the commando trainer Raxa Binn. The first tasked players with retrieving the rank cylinder of Warrant Officer Luhin Jinnor, an Imperial operating under Colonel Zarvold. Jinnor was accompanied by two Imperial troopers, and killing Jinnor allowed the player to recover[1] "Officer Jinnor's Rank Cylinder."[8] Successful completion of the quest granted a reward of 50 credits and 100 Rebel faction points.[1]
The second quest required the recovery of an[1] "Imperial Army Thermal Detonator"[4] carried by Captain Rohd Gostervek, another officer under Zarvold. Gostervek patrolled with a larger escort of four Imperial troopers. Upon eliminating the captain, players could return the detonator to Lubble. This quest also rewarded 50 credits and 100 Rebel faction points.[1]

Star Wars Galaxies: An Empire Divided — Static Quest: "Booto Lubble" on Rori
- ↑ The opening crawl of Star Wars Galaxies: An Empire Divided dates the game to after the events of Star Wars: Episode IV A New Hope, and additionally, Serji-X Arrogantus, who died in Star Wars (1977) 10—the events of which The New Essential Chronology dates to 0 ABY—appears in the game. Therefore, at least a portion of Star Wars Galaxies must be set in that year. Furthermore, in the game Ruwan Tokai references the destruction of the Death Star as having occurred one year earlier, and Strongholds of Resistance also places the events of Galaxies' Chapter 9: "The Fury of Exar Kun" in 1 ABY. Lastly, while Chapter 11: "The Battle of Echo Base" features the Battle of Hoth—dated to 3 ABY by The New Essential Chronology—the developers have stated that the portrayal of that battle in the game is intentionally anachronistic. Therefore, the events of Star Wars Galaxies must span from 0 ABY to around 1 ABY.
