- "We have to go—the fight is about to begin!"
- ―Blik
Blik was a Tarsunt droid fight promoter at a gladiatorial arena. During the Imperial Era, the individual helped organize an arena duel involving the astromech "Chopper," mistakenly believing the Lasat Garazeb Orrelios had brought him to compete. When Orrelios witnessed Chopper battling a droideka, he banged Blik's and a Twi'lek bookie's heads together before escaping with his droid companion.
Biography
- "Effor will prep your droid while you and I fill out your registration."
- ―Blik, to Garazeb Orrelios
A member of the Tarsunt species, Blik had started to work as a fight prompter by the Imperial Era, recruiting contestants for the gladiator droid fights at a gladiatorial arena.[1]
At some point between 5 BBY and 1 BBY,[2] the arena complex was visited by the Lasat rebel Garazeb "Zeb" Orrelios and the astromech C1-10P "Chopper". Unbeknownst to Blik, the pair were on a covert mission to steal critical imperial bank codes. The duo split up before they met up again. As the Lasat hurried[1] his[3] droid compation, he was interrupted mid-sentence by Blik. The Tarsunt informed him that the next fight was about to begin and gave him a shove to hurry him forward. They made their way through a corridor leading to the registration area, where Blik escorted Orrelios to the registration desk and had the Verpine Effor prepare Chopper and guide him to the arena floor. Unbeknownst to Zeb, his droid companion was to take part in a gladiator droid fight.[1]
Blik reports on Zeb's whereabouts.
At the registration desk, a Twi'lek bookie noticed that Zeb's name did not appear in any database and summoned security. Meanwhile, a nearby human shouted for Blik, pointing out that the "little" astromech Chopper was causing chaos with "The Unwinder," a droideka champion in the arena. Blik, the bookie, and Orrelios rushed to a large viewport, just in time to see Chopper dodging a barrage of laser bolts. When Blik asked if the droid belonged to him, Zeb denied it, as he instead treated Chopper as a family member. A moment later, he slammed Blik's and the bookie's heads together, using the confusion to make his escape. As Zeb raced to help his droid companion, Blik encountered a squad of Imperial stormtroopers displaying a hologram of the wanted Lasat. Although the Tarsunt pointed the soldiers in Zeb's direction, the rebels ultimately managed to outsmart their pursuers and slip away from the arena complex.[1]
Some time later, Orrelios recounted the events at the gladiator arena to the veteran clone trooper Rex aboard the Ghost. During their conversation, Zeb discovered that Chopper had already downloaded the Imperial data upon their arrival to the arena complex, which meant that the entire commotion at the arena could have been avoided altogether.[1]
Personality and traits
Blik was a brown-skinned Tarsunt with a partially bald head, whose sides featured long strands of brown hair extending into a double-braided beard.[1]
Equipment
Blik wore a red and tan outfit with a sleeveless vest featuring orange pockets.[1]

Blik first appeared in "Always Bet on Chop," a comic strip written by Jeremy Barlow and illustrated by Bob Molesworth,[1] which was published on September 28, 2016 in the 23rd issue of the German Star Wars Rebels Magazine.[4]

"Always Bet on Chop" — Star Wars Rebels Magazine 23
- ↑ "Always Bet on Chop" takes place during the events of Star Wars Rebels and includes Rex, placing it after the events of "The Lost Commanders." Star Wars: Timelines dates the events of "The Lost Commanders" to 4 BBY and the ending of Star Wars Rebels to 1 BBY, placing "Always Bet on Chop" between these years. Therefore, "Always Ben on Chop" must be taking place between 4 BBY and 1 BBY. Since the arena incident is narrated in flashbacks, it might have taken place as early as 5 BBY, given that, as per Star Wars Timelines, the Spectre cell—which both Orrelios and Chopper are members of—was established in that year.
