- "Blackroot... to replenish the body."
- ―Mother Talzin
Blackroot was a rejuvenating beverage from the planet Dathomir which could be summoned through the use of magick.[1] In 20 BBY,[2] Mother Talzin of the Nightsister clan of Dathomiri witches once offered blackroot to Count Dooku during his search for a new apprentice to replace Asajj Ventress, whom he had presumed dead.[1]
Behind the scenes
Blackroot appeared in "Monster," the thirteenth episode in the third season of the Star Wars: The Clone Wars animated television series,[1] which first aired on January 14, 2011.[3] Blackroot is a reference to the substance of the same name from George Lucas' 1988 film Willow.[4]
