The Bimmiel system was a star system located in the Outer Rim Territories[1] and New Territories.[2] Situated at the coordinates N-4 on the Standard Galactic Grid, Bimmiel was connected through a hyperspace route to the astronomical objects Birgis[1] and Chanceuxi.[5]
Behind the scenes
Bimmiel was first mentioned in the current Star Wars canon on a galactic map in Star Wars: The Force Awakens Beginner Game, a 2016 boxed set for Fantasy Flight Games' series of Star Wars Roleplaying products.[1] In the Star Wars Legends continuity, the planet Bimmiel was introduced in The New Jedi Order: Dark Tide I: Onslaught, a 2000 novel authored by Michael A. Stackpole as the second installment of the Star Wars: The New Jedi Order series.[6] The planet was later first depicted in "Making the Map," an article authored by Daniel Wallace for the sixty-fifth issue of the Star Wars Insider magazine,[7] which was published on January 21, 2003.[8]
