The Beltire system was located in the Narrant sector[3] of the Mid Rim Territories[1] and the Western Reaches.[2] It was situated in grid square J-17 of the Standard Galactic Grid and lay on[1] the Cerean Reach[4] hyperspace route that connected it to the astronomical objects Riflor and the Entropian Hive.[1] The system contained the location of the same name. In 4 ABY, after the Battle of Endor, the Rebel Alliance liberated Beltire.[5]

Behind the scenes

The Beltire system was first mentioned on a map[5] designed by Christopher Ibbitt[6] that was created for the reference book Star Wars: Timelines and given out as a promotional poster at Celebration Anaheim[7] on May 27, 2022[8] prior to the book's release during Celebration Europe[9] of April 7 through 10, 2023.[10] It was then identified by name in "Star Systems of the Galaxy," an appendix published with the Star Wars Galaxy Map article on StarWars.com[3] on June 24, 2025. Both works were authored by Jason Fry.[11]
