- "The easiest way into the Moddell sector for our fleet is the Spar Trade Route, but that ends at Annaj where an Imperial picket will almost certainly be guarding the reversion point."
- ―Ractivelle, in a report
The Spar Trade Route was a hyperlane in the Outer Rim Territories that ended at Annaj in the Moddell sector. In the lead-up to the Battle of Endor[1] in 4 ABY,[4] Corporal Ractivelle, one of the Rebel Alliance scouts in the Outer Rim, made a report on the Moddell sector and the established routes that could be used by the Alliance fleet to take the Galactic Empire by surprise at the forest moon of Endor. Ractivelle noted that the trade route was the easiest into the sector, but was likely under the Empire's watch of the at Annaj, and another set of routes including the Houche Run would have to be used to reach the Endor.[1]
Behind the scenes
The Spar Trade Route was introduced into canon by the 2017 reference book and boxed set Star Wars: The Rebel Files, written by Daniel Wallace.[1]
