"From the relic-strewn battlefields of Ruusan to Takodana Castle, Maz Kanata has etched a deep mark in the crossroads of the underworld."
―Maz Kanata, Smuggler's Guide[1]

At some point in galactic history, a series of battles were fought on Ruusan, leaving behind relic-strewn battlefields that would remain years after.[1] A room in the Jedi Temple on Coruscant was decorated with stained glass windows, one of which depicted one of the battles on Ruusan.[2] The former Pirate Queen Maz Kanata mentioned the battles in the book that became known as the Smuggler's Guide.[1]

One of the battles on Ruusan appeared in the artwork by Wayne Lo titled "Unused Jedi Temple mosaic" for the second season of the Star Wars: The Clone Wars television series. It was included in the production journal of the Star Wars: The Clone Wars The Complete Season Two. The concept art also depicted Valenthyne Farfalla leading the Army of Light, Lord Hoth and the death of Pernicar.[3] Parts of the mosaic can be seen, which includes the battle, in a room in "Lightsaber Lost," the eleventh episode of the second season of the series.[2]
