Basteel was a frigid and mountainous planet located in the Corva sector. It had almost no flat ground and little vegetation. Its inhabitants lived in subterranean cities, like its capital, Eladro City.

History

Basteel was considered not very important and had a token Empire presence. Leia Organa and her team visited this planet during Operation Yellow Moon to place a beacon and meet with Bon Yoth. Several hours after they left, the Star Destroyer Shieldmaiden arrived and sent troops into the city to arrest the locals.^[1]
