The Baskron Pirates were a pirate group[2] originating from the[1][2] Mid Rim Territories' Baskron system.[3] that was active in a region of space. In 3 ABY,[4] the Rebel Alliance's 61st Mobile Infantry held a meeting between its top staff and the bridge crews of their two starships—the CR90 corvette Thunderstrike and the Braha'tok-class gunship Apailana's Promise—regarding a hypermatter leak from the Thunderstrike. In the meeting, two crew members from the Apailana's Promise proposed traveling to the Baskron Pirate territory and making a deal for materials to repair the corvette. The 61st ultimately raided an Imperial heavy freighter instead.[2]
Behind the scenes
The Baskron Pirates were mentioned in the 2015 novel Battlefront: Twilight Company, written by Alexander Freed.[2]

- ↑ 1.0 1.1 The Essential Atlas and Galactic Cartography: Official Discussion (post by jasonfry) on the Jedi Council Forums' Literature board (December 11, 2007): "I wouldn't get your hopes up re alien homeworlds, beyond simple stuff like the Planetnamian species getting a Planetnamia on the map or things Dan and I can account for with a relatively quick reference." (backup link) (screenshot) Jason Fry, co-author of The Essential Atlas and a number of maps in the current Star Wars canon (see a list here), stated his intention to create homeworlds for numerous species based on context implied from their names. Given this principle, this article makes a similar basic assumption for the Baskron Pirates in relation to Baskron system.
