The Base Operations Center was a fortified bunker in the heart of Vergesso Prime, forming the lowest part of the Vergesso Base, connected to the rest of the facility by turbolifts.[1]
It was the command and control for Vergesso Base, overseen by Ororo Transportation's Nim Zanti. Vergesso Control operated from Base Ops. In the middle was the Spaceport Control / Defense Command, surrounded by the station's Environmental Control / Power Distribution, detention center, and corporate offices.[1]
Natori Association provided security in the form of a full platoon permanently present there.[1]
During the Battle of the Bajic Shipyards, the bunker withstood the destruction, even though the turbolifts were blocked by debris and life support malfunctioned. Beings who happened to be there at that time (technicians, Natori mercenaries, detainees and others) were among the survivors. Under the leadership of Nim Zanti and Vam Margan, they found supplies and unblocked the turbolift tubes from debris in order to reach the Life level.[2]
Within a few months after the assault, the Center was able to be repaired and function again, before eventually the base passed to other hands.[1]
