Balmgrass grew in fields along the shores of the Silver Sea,[1] a body of water located near the Core World of Chandrila's capital, Hanna City.[2] The grass was consumed by the cairnmog and fecklen, two species of animal that lived on the world.[3]

Behind the scenes

Balmgrass first appeared in Greg Keyes's 2001 novel The New Jedi Order: Edge of Victory II: Rebirth, the eighth volume of the Star Wars: The New Jedi Order series.[1]
