Bad Motivator IPA was an alcoholic beverage served at the Oga's Cantina bar in Black Spire Outpost on the planet Batuu^[1] in 34 ABY.^[4] The drink was suitable for human consumption.^[1] Eloc Throno, author of the Traveler's Guide to Batuu, considered it to be one of the most flavorful beers on tap at the cantina.^[5]

Bad Motivator IPA is an India pale ale available on tap to customers at the Oga's Cantina bar in Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge, which opened in 2019.^[1] It was revealed as part of a large promotional event held on February 26, 2019.^[6] The drink is named for the "red" droid R5-D4^[7] that Owen Lars almost purchased in Star Wars: Episode IV A New Hope. When the droid displayed a "bad motivator," Lars purchased R2-D2 instead.^[8]

Bad Motivator IPA is brewed by Sierra Nevada Brewing Company, an independent brewery based in Chico, California.^[7] It has an ABV of 6.0%, and its menu description reads, "Tropical India Pale Ale with galaxy and comet hops."^[9]
