The B4J4 security droid was a Blujay-developed security droid developed for the corporate sphere. It was armed with a pair of heavy blasters with a stun setting, a snare pistol[1] or two grapple-cable shooters firing ShrinCord.[2] Its repulsorlift generator enabled it to fly up stairs and navigate turbolift shafts.[1] It had a single eye, and while it had keen hearing, it possessed no olfactory sensors capable of following scents. While capable of following a clear trail of obvious signs such as blaster scorches, they were otherwise not very effective trackers.[2] The B4J4 security droids could be found guarding the headquarters of some of the most prestigious galactic corporations;[1] ten of these droids were used during non-work hours at Santhe/Sienar Headquarters Building to conduct random patrols.[2]
It cost 25,340 credits new.[1]
