Jedi Master Avar Kriss owned a diadem during the High Republic Era. It was a gift from her friends Stellan Gios and Elzar Mann when she was knighted. It was ornated with a blue-green gem. While being trapped inside the Nihil Occlusion Zone, Kriss sold the diadem to buy food to help people on Merisee. After her escape from Nihil space, Elzar Mann gave her a new diadem.[1]

The first issue of the 2025 comic series Star Wars: The High Republic – Fear of the Jedi incorrectly depicts Avar Kriss wearing her first diadem,[2] which The High Republic: Temptation of the Force had previously stated she had sold and features Kriss being given a new diadem by Elzar Mann.[1]
