Attar of spinsilk was a type of liquor that was green in color. It had a soft yet spicy flavor that left a tingling sensation on the tongue. Attar of spinsilk was a favorite of the human Vellis San Tekka. In the aftermath of the Great Hyperspace Disaster[1] in 232 BBY,[2] a servitor droid served the drink to the Jedi Avar Kriss and Elzar Mann in a stemless glass bowl when the pair met with San Tekka and his husband, Marlowe San Tekka, at their Varykino home on the planet Naboo. Both Jedi found the drink delicious, with Kriss noting its finery, and discussed their consumption of it with Vellis afterward.[1]

Behind the scenes

Attar of spinsilk appeared in The High Republic: Light of the Jedi, a 2021 novel written by Charles Soule as part of the Star Wars: The High Republic multimedia project's[1] Phase I.[3] In the real world, attar refers to a liquid derived from extracting essential oils from a plant.[4]
