- "I consider it more likely that the attack on Csilla was a diversion to draw our attention inward and away from this event."
"Indeed. And given the cost of the diversion, it further suggests that someone really doesn't want us taking a good look at this ship." - ―Thrawn and Supreme General Ba'kif
The attack on the edge of the Dioya system was an incident that occurred shortly after two Paccosh refugee starships escaped from their homeworld of Rapacc while it was under blockade by General Yiv of the Nikardun Destiny. The two vessels rendezvoused in a quadruple star system, but one was unable to travel further. The working ship entered the territory of the Chiss Ascendancy, but the Nikardun located it at its exit point in the Dioya system due to its Void Guide navigator and destroyed it. The Chiss witnessed the incident, but had their attention drawn away when the Nikardun orchestrated a Paataatus attack on the Chiss homeworld of Csilla. Senior Captain Mitth'raw'nuruodo, looking into the attack on Csilla, investigated the wreckage in the Dioya system, leading to his discovery of the Nikardun conquests.[1] The attack helped cover up the Sunrise's civil war orchestrated by Lord "Jixtus" and Haplif, as it prevented the Chiss from learning about the action for sometime.[3]
