"You're doing well, Marda-chi. Growing strong and capable."
―Aris Ade, adding the diminutive from her homeworld to Marda Ro's name[1]

A celestial body was the homeworld of the human woman Aris Ade. One diminutive hailing from there was "-chi."[1] By 382 BBY,[2] Ade had left her homeworld and become an Elder in the Path of the Open Hand cult on the Outer Rim planet Dalna.[1] That year,[2] while speaking with the Evereni Path member Marda Ro, Ade told Ro that the latter was becoming strong and capable, calling her "Marda-chi." Afterward, the Evereni mentally noted the use of the diminutive from the human's homeworld.[1]

Behind the scenes

Aris Ade's homeworld was mentioned in the 2022 young-adult novel The High Republic: Path of Deceit, written by Justina Ireland and Tessa Gratton as part of the Star Wars: The High Republic multimedia project's[1] Phase II.[3] Within the novel, the homeworld was mentioned in a chapter written by Gratton.[4]
