The Arakein system was located in the Inner Rim Territories in grid square N-8 of the Standard Galactic Grid.[1] It was the origin point of[3] the religious group known as the Arakein Monks.[2]
Behind the scenes
The Arakein system was mentioned in "Star Systems of the Galaxy," an appendix published alongside the Star Wars Galaxy Map[1]—both works being written by Jason Fry and published on StarWars.com on June 24, 2025.[4]

(backup link) (screenshot) Jason Fry, co-author of The Essential Atlas and a number of maps in the current Star Wars canon (see a list here), stated his intention to create homeworlds for numerous species based on context implied from their names. Given this principle, this article makes a similar basic assumption for the Arakein Monks in relation to Arakein system.
