Anzellan goggles were a type of eyewear that protected a wearers eyes from dust and sand. They could fit both for members of the Anzellan species and merqaals species. They had black lenses with thick brown and tan sockets and a brown and tan strap.[1] In 3 ABY,[2] a human merchant had a pair of the goggles while operating a stall in the city Mos Eisley on the Outer Rim desert planet Tatooine.[1]
That year,[2] they were approached by the merqaal Nix and his human companion Kay Vess. Interested in the merqaal, the merchant inquired about his homeworld before offering him a pair of Anzellan googles. Vess initial dismissed the offer citing the assumed price, but the merchant insisted on giving it to Nix for free.[1]
Behind the scenes
Anzellan goggles appeared in the 2024 video game, Star Wars Outlaws developed by Massive Entertainment and published by Ubisoft. They are not part of any quest but will give the player the "Dust goggles" Nix cosmetic.[1]
