Amfar was an aquatic vacation planet located in the Inner Rim.
History
Amfar quickly grew into a tourist destination due to its warm beaches and tropical oceans. Building an economy off of tourism and vacationers, the planet thrived throughout the history of the Republic. It wasn't until 22 BBY, during the Separatist Crisis, that the planet suffered an economic downturn for the world. HoloNet News interviewed tourists Huberdink Bufflin III and his wife, Milli Bufflin, who had found that they had the beaches and restaurants all to themselves. Resort owner Byll Shotaleve was also interviewed, reporting that his resort beaches were so slow that the native redfish were reclaiming land once populated by tourists.[3]
