Amethyst was a gemstone.[2] The activation stud of Jedi Knight Lorana Jinzler's lightsaber contained an amethyst that was gifted to her by a group of people living in the mid levels of Coruscant that she and her Master, Jorus C'baoth, had aided. Unbeknown to Jinzler, the gemstone was in fact a gift from her mother and father. Her parents, who revered the Jedi Order and loved their daughter, knew the people that she had helped and asked them to give it to her. The amethyst was one of the reasons her younger brother Dean Jinzler resented his sister, frustrated that she did not realize it was a gift from her parents despite her Force abilities.[3]
