Allie Samta was a human member of the Resistance. Originally an infantry soldier in the Resistance's army, Samta saw the Resistance was in need of new pilots and transferred to the starfighter corps, training under veteran pilot Elna Zibsara.[1]

Behind the scenes

Allie Samta was played by Samantha Alleyne[2] in the 2019 sequel trilogy film, Star Wars: Episode IX The Rise of Skywalker,[3] and was first identified in the accompanying reference book Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker: The Visual Dictionary, which was written by Pablo Hidalgo.[1] The character's name is very similar to the actress' name.[2] According to Alleyne, Hidalgo told her that Samta survived the events of The Rise of Skywalker and is still alive at the time of the Rey Skywalker film[4] in 50 ABY.[5]
