Alala Ninbiri was a[2] non-binary[1] prospector who captained a transport. They were known to Spence Leffbruk who avoided dealing with them due to a bad reputation. They often engaged in smuggling activities.[2] In 382 BBY,[3] they were present above Dalna.[2]

Behind the scenes

Alala Ninbiri was mentioned in the 2023 junior novel The High Republic: Quest for Planet X, written by Tessa Gratton as part of the Star Wars: The High Republic multimedia project's[2] Phase II.[4] When asked about the usage of singular "they/them" pronouns for Ninbiri, the author stated that they had intended the usage to indicate a non-binary gender for the character.[1]
