- "Ah! Prince Afolonkin, I presume?"
"You presume right, chrome top!" - ―A droid and Prince Afolonkin
Afolonkin was a prince who visited the Outer Rim planet Ah Re Won to hunt the carnivorous creatures, karafankata,[2] between around 40 BBY and 32 BBY.[1] Prince Afolonkin was son to the Pirate King of Sector Nine. The prince enjoyed revelry, including libations, and disrespected the ruins of Ah Re Won's Sith temple, an act observed by the lurking Sith apprentice Darth Maul. When Afolonkin and his hunting party attempted to stalk their quarry, they found one fiercely protecting its young. The prince's blaster rifle refused to work, and the hunters were alerted by a red lightsaber blade. The prince and his companions were slaughtered by Maul and subsequently eaten by the family of karafankata.[2]
Following his death, Afolonkin's father, the Pirate King of Sector Nine, came to Ah Re Won in search of their son. The man was infuriated to find out their son was allowed to be eaten and attempted to exact revenge on the townsfolk. The attack disturbed Maul's meditations, leading the Sith to take out the pirates as well.[2]
