Jim McAllister

Jim McAllister is the father of Mandy McAllister and the husband of Audrey McAllister.

Personality

He is a good-natured man who owns a local tire shop and comes into the crossfire between his pregnant daughter and stubborn wife. He is told of Mandy's pregnancy and meets them at a restaurant.

Young Sheldon

Season 6

He was dining at The Medford Corner Grill with Audrey when he meets Georgie and Mandy. He later talks to them at their store. (A Tougher Nut and a Note on File)

He and his family goes to the Cooper house to stay while Mandy and the girls go to the baby shower, George introduces Meemaw's famous brisket to him but Audrey yells at them to go home before George could make them a doggy bag to go. (A Baby Shower and a Testoterone-Rich Banter)

He and Audrey go to the hospital to visit Mandy while she's in labor, he gives advice to Mandy and after Mandy gives birth, Georgie leaves the labor room to reveal the baby's name, Constance, Audrey asks about the middle name but Georgie says they're still discussing it. Georgie and Mandy go to his house to discuss marriage terms but Mandy tries to leave when Audrey doesn't want to have a big wedding but Mandy gets stopped by the heavy rain, He leads them into the bathroom where Georgie reveals to Mandy how much the ring costs, Jim gets curious when Mandy makes a reaction. Season 7

He went to the Cooper's house to drop by some baby stuff for Mandy and Constance, He stayed in the house to drink beer and watch TV, but Missy forces him and George to go to the grocery store while watching the baby. Later at dinner, he was forced to come home by his wife. He comes back in the Cooper house with a pack of beer with the intention of doing something fun, but George makes him join him with his chores and ends up folding laundry. Jim "walks" Mandy in the aisle, him and the rest of the family (except the brothers) watch Mandy and Georgie finally get married. Later, he gets in a bit of a pickle when the moms relationship gets more rocky as Meemaw gets arrested and with the couple away on vacation in Dollywood, the moms are both forced to get along when CeeCee is left in their hands. Georgie & Mandy's First Marriage

In the premiere episode of Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage, Jim is in the living room with the family watching an episode of Frasier. He does not talk much while the banter between the rest occur. After Mandy and Georgie find their own apartment due to his wife’s rude comments, he convinces her to go there and apologize so they can return to the house. The pair do so and sit in the living room again. He then rushes over to the bedroom because Georgie had said Constance said her first word. (The 6:10 to Lubbock)

Jim enters his work and finds the keys in the door and the lights open. He is told Georgie forgot to do so because his sister needed his help that day. He later receives a phone call from Missy Cooper asking for Georgie and walks into the garage seeing him holding up the car, stating that there is no such thing as a "Transmission fluid re-circulator". He then lets him go home early because Missy needs him to pick her up from school. (Some New York Nonsense)

Jim does not want to deal with the family drama when Mary put herself in the famuily album. He convinces Audrey to go to go to her workplace First Baptist Chuch of Meford and apologise. Later on, they go to Target to get a photograph. (A House Divided)

In the dining room, the entire family is there, and Georgie comes in and tells him that he broke and fixed the sprinklers. Audrey mentions his Mustang that he bought at a police auction and left it in the garage, to the annoyance of Audrey. He then shows Georgie about the Mustang, saying it needs parts and having to deal with a dead family of rats.

At work, he called someone for parts, and he was willing to pay extra to secure it so no one else can buy it. He has Georgie invite Connor to join on the roadtrip to Plano, Texas. On the way there, he notices that Connor was listening to his Walkman with CDs; he tells Georgie that he is disappointed in Connor's development, despite trying to connect with him. They eat at a diner after not getting the part, and wonders what is taking Connor so long in the bathroom; Georgie finds Connor in clothing as an employee and then decides to tell them to leave. • He seems to fulfill a role that was left by Herschel Sparks: both men are friends of George Sr. and are typically seen as the "nicer" ones as their wives argued with Mary Cooper. Both he and Herschel also own a Tire store/garage where they give Georgie jobs.
