The Zinchorians[2] were a sentient species[1] that originated from a world with a methane-rich atmosphere[2] in the Zinchori system.[3] Sage Kinzem was a member of this species.[2]
Biology and appearance
The Zinchorians were a bipedal humanoid sentient species that were distinguished by the dark blue coloration covering much of their bodies, excluding most of their faces outside of a series of dark, symmetrical grooves.[1] These specific skin hues were caused by being removed from their native methane-filled atmosphere, though no other negative side effects have been identified as they possessed a versatile triple-lung that allowed them to survive off world.[2] They also possessed a series of short black horns flanking the small strip of black hair growing from the tops of their heads.[1]
Species in the galaxy
By 132 BBY,[4] a number of Zinchorians served as Jedi within the Jedi Order, commonly found within the Jedi Temple on the planet Coruscant.[1] One of these Jedi, Sage Kinzem, accompanied Vernestra Rwoh and Mog Adana during their mission to find Sol and the Stranger on the planet Brendok, selected for the team due to their keen investigative abilities.[5]
Behind the scenes
The Zinchorians made their debut in the fourth episode of the 2024 television series, Star Wars: The Acolyte, directed by Alex García López.[5] Their name was revealed within the Star Wars: The Acolyte: The Visual Guide[2] which released in select countries on June 5, 2025.[6]

This article treats the Zinchori system as the location of one such homeworld with regard to the Zinchorian species.
