The Zaxxovia system was a star system located in the Gomar sector of the Inner Rim Territories, situated in grid square K-14 of the Standard Galactic Grid.[1] The system was the origin point of the Zaxxovian Special model of racing starfighter.[2] By 34 ABY,[3] the mechanic and former racing pilot Jarek Yeager owned a racer that was a custom Zaxxovian Special.[4]
Behind the scenes
The Zaxxovia system was created as a reference to the model of Jarek Yeager's racer (pictured).
The Zaxxovia system was introduced in "Star Systems of the Galaxy," an appendix published with the Star Wars Galaxy Map on StarWars.com[1] on June 24, 2025. Both works were authored by Jason Fry.[5] Fry created the Zaxxovia system as a reference to the model of[2] the mechanic Jarek Yeager's[6] racer from the animated television series Star Wars Resistance, indicating that the starship had been called a "Zaxxovian Special" in one of the series' scripts.[2]
However, in the final versions of the six Star Wars Resistance episodes that Yeager's racer appears, no such mention is present.[6][7][8][9][10][11] The model of Yeager's racer as a "Custom Zaxxovian Special" was later introduced in[4] the September 16, 2025[12] reference book Star Wars Encyclopedia of Starfighters and Other Vehicles. The reference book was written by Brandon Wainerdi,[4] though the Zaxxovian Special information was added by members of Lucasfilm Story Group during the work's development.[13]
