Yzu was an individual who served as an Imperial officer with the military rank of admiral within the Galactic Empire. As a commanding officer, they were in command of the 15th Deep Core Reserve Fleet, which was stationed in the Empress Teta system.[1]

Behind the scenes

Admiral Yzu was mentioned in the new Star Wars canon in the 2016 Fantasy Flight Games Star Wars: Force and Destiny roleplaying game sourcebook, Nexus of Power.[1] Malfkla Yzu originated in the Star Wars Legends continuity in the novel Darksaber by Kevin J. Anderson,[2] which was released in October 1995.[3] Yzu's last name was first provided in The New Essential Chronology,[4] a 2005[5] reference book by Anderson and Daniel Wallace,[4] and their first name, Malfkla, was provided in Part 3 of "The Imperial Warlords: Despoilers of an Empire," a StarWars.com article posted on January 7, 2014 and written by Wallace and Abel G. Peña.[6]
