Ytterbium

Ytterbium, in its stabilized form, was a material vital in the production of laser cannons.^[1] In thermal wells, ytterbium was used as a stabilizer to make the baradium in the explosive less hazardous.^[2] Ytterbium was found on the planet Sarrahban in the Sarrahban system. The Alliance managed to extract all of Sarrahban's stabilized ytterbium during the Imperial invasion of the planet.^[1]
