Yotch was a gas giant orange-red in color[2] located in the Esseveya system of the Mid Rim Territories[1] that, according to Captain Oswin Dicto, was a failed star. The planet was covered in rheoscopic fluid that gave Yotch its colorful effect from space.[2] By 4 ABY,[3] the planet had begun to die and the star cruiser Halcyon circled over the planet for a few hours during its first voyage after being liberated from the Galactic Empire.[2]

Yotch appeared in The Princess and the Scoundrel, a 2022 novel written by Beth Revis.[2]
