Yoshi was a female individual who attended the University of Bar'leth on the Core Worlds planet Bar'leth during the Imperial Era. Not long after the human female Chelli Lona Aphra began her archaeology doctorate program at the university in 11 BBY, she became lovers with Yoshi, and after their first encounter, Yoshi began suffering from Wookiee flu.
Aphra found the illness' symptoms so disgusting she decided to end the relationship, which she later mentioned to her new lover—fellow university student Sana Starros. In 0 ABY, Aphra recalled her relationship with Yoshi and the flu they came down with in a recording she created for Starros.

Yoshi dated Chelli Lona Aphra (pictured) who ended their relationship after Yoshi came down with Wookiee flu.
Yoshi was a female[1] individual who lived during the Imperial Era and attended the University of Bar'leth, a university on[2] the Core Worlds planet[4] Bar'leth, at the same time as the human female Chelli Lona Aphra. Shortly after Aphra began her archaeology doctorate at the university[2] in 11 BBY,[5] she and Yoshi became lovers. Right after their first encounter with Aphra, Yoshi came down with Wookiee flu and began experiencing a level of snot and vomit that the aspiring archaeologist considered so disgusting that she decided to end their relationship.[2]
At some point after, Aphra began a relationship with her archaeology classmate Sana Starros, who knew about her relationship with Yoshi. During a conversation between the two, Starros asked Aphra if she was in any other relationships, to which Aphra joked it was hard for her to keep track of the relationships she was in. She then informed Starros about Yoshi's suffering from the flu, describing its symptoms before telling her lover to not picture it because it was "too gross." Afterward, Aphra confessed that she was no longer involved with anyone besides Starros.[2]
In 0 ABY,[6] now a rogue archaeologist and doctor, Chelli created a recording for Starros that she intended for her to hear after her death. During the recording, Aphra recounted a number of events in her life, including her relationship with Yoshi and the Wookiee flu they came down with, as well as recounting the conversation she had with Starros about Yoshi.[2]
