Wookiee flu was a flu that caused an afflicted individual to experience vomiting and increased mucus production at levels comparable to Wookiees. The University of Bar'leth student Yoshi began suffering from Wookiee flu after their first encounter with their lover Chelli Lona Aphra shortly after Aphra began her archaeology doctorate at the university in 11 BBY.

Due to the flu's unpleasant symptoms, Aphra ended her relationship with Yoshi, which she subsequently told her new lover Sana Starros about. In 0 ABY, Aphra mentioned Yoshi's come down with Wookiee flu in a recording she created for Starros.

Description

Wookiee flu was a type of flu. An individual who had Wookiee flu experienced considerable amounts of vomiting and increased mucus production at a level comparable to the Wookiee species.[1]

Shortly after the human female Chelli Lona Aphra began her archaeology doctorate at the University of Bar'leth[1] in 11 BBY,[2] she began a relationship with Yoshi, a fellow[1] female[3] university student. Right after the two's first encounter, however, Yoshi came down with Wookiee flu. Aphra found the symptoms too disgusting to be around Yoshi any longer and ended their relationship. Aphra later told her new lover and fellow classmate Sana Starros about Yoshi's suffering from Wookiee flu, briefly describing Yoshi's symptoms and stating that they were "Wookiee-level." She then advised Starros to not picture it as she considered it to be "too gross."[1]

In 0 ABY,[4] Aphra created a recording for Starros that she intended for her to hear after her death. During the recording, Aphra recounted a number of events in her life, including when she told Starros about Yoshi coming down with Wookiee flu.[1]
