Kelnacca (left) taught Indara (third from right) Wrruushi.
Wrruushi was a fighting discipline that the Wookiee Jedi Master Kelnacca taught the Jedi Master Indara, with the two having worked together during a mission to the planet Brendok during the High Republic Era[1] in 148 BBY.[2] By the time of her death[1] in 132 BBY,[3] Indara was adept at Wrruushi and several other fighting disciplines, which she had learned while traveling widely as a Jedi Wayseeker studying esoteric and exotic martial arts under a variety of masters. This enriched her understanding of her connection to the Force, and she recorded a summary of the experiences in a Jedi holocron known as the Indara Lessons. The holocron was housed in the Jedi Archives of the Jedi Temple on[1] the planet[4] Coruscant, where it was regularly checked out by Padawans looking to expand their defensive skills.[1]
Behind the scenes
In the current Star Wars canon, Wrruushi was mentioned in the 2025 reference book Star Wars: The Acolyte: The Visual Guide, which was written by Pablo Hidalgo.[1] The fighting discipline originated in the Star Wars Legends continuity, where it was first mentioned in The DarkStryder Campaign, a 1995 supplement to Star Wars: The Roleplaying Game published by West End Games.[5]
