Grunny (11 admins + 14 users/0/0)

Two week deadline from first request, voting ends November 29th.

  1. Grunny is an upstanding user, an upstanding administrator, and a fantastic writer and editor. He is never in conflict with anyone (except the occasional crazy person), and weighs out all of his decisions carefully. Most importantly, Grunny is around and quite responsible as far as his obligations here are concerned. It's time to add another bureaucrat, if for no other reason, then to be certain there's one who can be available to the user base most of the time. Graestan(Talk) 12:43, November 15, 2009 (UTC)
  2. I second the statement above me. Plus, he's good at technological stuff, is knowledgeable about the going-ons at Wikia, and really has taken the role of a leader. He'll be a great BC. Chack Jadson (Talk) 12:46, November 15, 2009 (UTC)
  3. 100% per Grae and Chack. Grunny is a very helpful user, and a great leader. Jonjedigrandmaster (Jedi Beacon) 14:37, November 15, 2009 (UTC)

  11. What can I say! Grunny is a fantastic administrator, a great contributor to Wookieepedia, a prolific writer, and a good friend. Despite becoming a AC and INQ member, he was nominated for WotM, Rollback, and Adminship in the last few months. I do remember when Grunny first nominated his first GAN, Force speed, back in December 2008. The list of Grunny's accomplishments keep rolling on, and I believe 100% that Grunny is a fine candidate for BC. Keep up the great work, Grunny! :) JangFett (Talk) 00:11, November 16, 2009 (UTC)

  14. Grunny. The most active AC ATM. Writes lots of FA's and GA's. Magically manages to beat me to every single edit reversion, user welcome, and double redirect fix (Grrr!) :P. Helpful. Possesses an attitude that reflects the best that Wookieepedia has to offer. Solves conflicts effectively and quickly. Practically lives in Wookieepedia, since he is always on the RC somewhere. The list goes on. I too remember reviewing Grunny's first GAN nom, but he has since easily surpassed what most others have done in years. He's come a long way in such a short time, and there really is no user I believe is better suited for the job. Have fun with your BC powers, Grunny :). Optional candidate Q&A
  1. Why do you think we need another bureaucrat?
    • While we don't have that many RFUs, I think it is important to have at least a few reasonably active bureaucrats, and if the community trusts the users, there's no reason we can't have one or two more :-).
  2. How do you see the difference between an admin and a bureaucrat?
    • I think it's mainly a technical difference with the simple added ability to manage user rights, as everything else can be handled by any administrator or user. I do think, however, it is important that BCs be able to represent the site well.
  3. What will you use your new status for if your nomination succeeds?
    • I will continue doing exactly as I have as an administrator, but I'll be able to give out user rights in the case of successful RFUs. I will also continue representing Wookieepedia to the best of my ability.
  4. How many admins do you think we need?
    • I think we're doing very well right now, with quite a few highly active admins. But I do see a lot of up and coming users who I would love to see continue and one day become admins. I don't think there should be any limit on the number of admins we should have, rather if any user has demonstrated they have the ability and deserve our trust, there is no reason they shouldn't be an admin.
  5. How many bureaucrats do you think we need?
    • Like I said in my first answer, I think we could use a couple more active bureaucrats. Like with administrators I don't think there needs to be any set limit on the number of bureaucrats, but if the user has demonstrated that they deserve the community's trust to hand out user rights and represent the site, there's nothing wrong with having a few more BCs.
  6. What should happen to admins and bureaucrats who disappear for awhile without warning, leaving many questions, projects, and that sort of thing hanging?
    • If they give some sort of notice, I don't think there's a problem. Even if they don't, the nature of the site means someone will step up and take care of any unfinished projects that might be left hanging :-). Grunny (Talk) 01:29, November 17, 2009 (UTC)
