  1. Darth Culator is one of our longest serving users and our longest serving admin who isn't already a bureaucrat. In his time on this wiki, he has done more work than most of our other admins combined. He's a great editor who has written GAs and FAs. He serves as an Inquisitor, and in that role has done much to ensure our continuing high standards of article quality. He also does more maintenance work than pretty much any other user on the wiki, and as an admin has performed more actions than sum total of all current admins. In addition, he runs our IRC channels and the channel bot. All of this shows just how much Culator has given to the Wook and the leadership role that he plays in our community. Culator is already a bureaucrat of the wiki in everything but title, so let's make it official. grunny@wookieepedia:~$ 04:49, December 9, 2011 (UTC)
  2. Culator is an unbelievable user. He is always on the IRC and is always ready to lend a helping hand. He's a huge leader of the site and does tremendous work on the Wook. And as Grunny said, he is already a bureaucrat, just without the title. Long time over due, in my opinion. Well deserved.--Cal JediInfinite Empire (Personal Comm Channel) 05:00, December 9, 2011 (UTC)

Optional candidate Q&A
  1. Why do you think we need another bureaucrat?
    • Because if there's one thing my service as an admin has stood for, it's order. And efficiency. Wait, that's two things. I'll come in again... Because if there are two things my service as an admin has stood for, they're efficiency and order. If giving me a few extra buttons will make things run even a fraction more smoothly, then I'm all for it.
  2. How do you see the difference between an admin and a bureaucrat?
    • Functionally, a bureaucrat is just an admin who can make new admins. Like a sort of queen bee of admins. Imagine Karina the Great, except usually male. And without the brain worms. But despite the official Wikipedia/Wikia/MediaWiki description of bureaucrats, the election of a bureaucrat does say something to the kind of people who pay attention to wiki politics. It says that this person embodies the collective will. So electing me will be like saying, "Hey, Wikia, you know that one guy who consistently leads the charge against your stupid 'improvements'? Yeah, we gave him extra powers."
  3. What will you use your new status for if your nomination succeeds?
    • The same thing I've always done. Defend Wookieepedia against the forces of disorder and unprofessionalism. Serve the public trust. Protect the innocent. Uphold the law.
  4. How many admins do you think we need?
    • As many as the community will support, and as many as it takes to make sure any necessary administrative actions are handled without delay at any given time.
  5. How many bureaucrats do you think we need?
    • 42. No, wait, 47. Oh, I know, "sixty-nine, dudes!" No, really, see above. As many as it takes to efficiently enact the will of the community.
  6. What should happen to admins and bureaucrats who disappear for awhile without warning, leaving many questions, projects, and that sort of thing hanging?
    • Admins and bureaucrats who don't use their special powers clearly don't need them and they should be removed. Leaders who aren't leading should step down if someone with more competence and/or enthusiasm wants to take over. This has never been an issue with me. I can't say it never will, because the universe has a funny way of handling that kind of overconfidence. But as long as I am able, I plan to be here. I've always been that guy who runs the IRC channel, or that guy who keeps the file database clean, and I intend to be that guy until Wikia collapses under the weight of their own stupidity and we're forced to reorganize somewhere else. And as one of the few admins working on contingency plans for that day, I plan to be that guy anyplace this community goes.
  • Finally, let me just say this: I fully expect people to oppose this, because it's a democratic process. I won't get offended, that's just how democracy works. But before you vote, think about whether it's because you really don't think we could use another bureaucrat or really don't think I could do the job, or you just don't like me. I've never been an especially nice guy, but I get things done. -- Darth Culator (Talk) 13:24, December 9, 2011 (UTC)
    • That's actually some of the realest shit I've ever heard said on Wookieepedia. And Culator's not even the only one like that. Most impressive, DC.—Tommy 9281 Friday, December 9, 2011, 19:29 UTC
