- Points in favor: 1) Not argumentative or confrontational, providing a good balance against the current batch of crazy admins. http://media.ign.com/boardfaces/9.gif 2) Has a working bot. 3) Good answers to all the admin questions, even the silly ones. 4) Hangs out in IRC (There Is No Cabal). -- Darth Culator (Talk)(Kills) 16:15, 6 December 2006 (UTC)

Questions:
G1 Why do you want to become an administrator?
To help lead the wiki and perform even more chores to better improve this place, along with guiding/supporting newcomers.
G2 In your opinion, what is the role of an administrator?
See 1st question. Leadership.
G3 In your view, do administrators hold a technical or political position?
Mainly technical, because of the ability to delete, ban, etc. Slightly political, in that admins are generally looked up to for help in dealing with problems of any type.
G4 How do feel admins should use their power/stand in comparison with other users?
They should be respected. If a problem develops, they should be the first person users want to come to for help. While one admin's vote may seem to count for more than a regular users, the overall community's desires should still be followed.
G5 Have you been in any conflicts over editing in the past or do you feel other users have caused you stress? How have you dealt with it and how will you deal with it in the future?
No.
G6 Of your articles or contributions to Wookieepedia, are there any with which you are particularly pleased, and why?
See User:Xwing328/My Projects. As you can tell, I really like books. And now with Whistler, I've been able to make some very helpful changes as well.
G7 What sysop chores do you anticipate helping with?
Deleting duplicate images, helping guard against vandals (like everyone), protect a page in an out-of-control edit war, try to make the site slightly more user friendly (I don't know how though.), fitting articles into the MOS, sourcing and categorizing (when I can), and everything else I currently do.
G8 How important is it for you to be involved in things such as CT, IDrive, FA, and other community-centered items that involve discussion and voting?
I try to be very involved in CT and Senate Hall, and I'm hoping to keep GA (or some form of it) alive as well.
G9 Do you think admins performing actions (I.e. deletions, blocks, etc.) for reasons not covered on policy should be sanctioned/punished? If so, how?
You cannot have a policy for everything that needs to be done on Wookieepedia. So unless someone disagrees with the actions, it should generally be OK.
G10 What is your policy, if any, of welcoming new users? Should you welcome a new user, do you look at his/her contributions beforehand? What about anonymous IPs?
Anons can be annoying as they tend to vandalize more pages than registered users. Additionally, proper credit for positive contributions from anons cannot be given. If I see a new user, I generally welcome them, though I do not go out of my way searching for new users.
G11 How would you react if someone undeleted an article you'd mistakenly speedied? Under what circumstances would you consider it appropriate to undelete an article mistakenly speedied by another administrator, if any, and how would you approach this task?
If it's a mistake, there should be no problem undeleting it. Humans are fallible, despite what some think.
G12 How would you react if your user page was vandalized? Under what circumstances would you block the offender? Is there anything else that you would do in this situation?
I'd revert it, report it, warn the user, and if the problem persists, block the user.
G13 Under what circumstances would you consider blocking an established user?
Harrasment of others and vandalism results in a warning. However, if the actions of the user disrupt the overall flow of the wiki, then further action is most likely necessary.
G14 If you could change any one thing about Wookieepedia, what would it be?
Hmm...I'll have to get back with you on this.
G15 Would you look at a glass to be half-empty or half-full?
If I just filled it up, half-full. If I just drank some, half-empty. What's that make me, a realist or something?
C1 Do you feel the current blocking policy is too restrictive, not restrictive enough, or OK as it is?
It seems fairly good.
C2 Have you ever considered becoming a regular visitor to the Wookieepedia IRC chat?
I do visit regularly.
C3 How do you feel about people who already have some influence on other Star Wars communities (TheForce.Net, StarWars.com) trying to change policies here?
Good for them. Unless they have official affiliation with Lucasfilm Ltd., it shouldn't affect the way they are treated. But making friends with fan sites such as TFN does no harm whatsoever.
C4 How many clones do you think fought in the Clone Wars? (Note: You are wrong no matter what answer you give.)
42.
C5 Who is the most awesome Jedi of all time? (Note: The only correct answer is Kyle Katarn.)
K1 Are you or have you ever been a member of the Communist Party?
No.
I1 What's more important to you: consensus or policy?
Like others have said, you can't have one without the other. But I would rate consensus more importantly. A dictator can enforce policy, but the people get to decide with consensus. And in many cases, policy is not even necessary. For example, you can have a consensus for which image looks better in a random article, but you cannot have a policy that says this is the only image that can be used in that part of the article. —Xwing328(Talk) 18:52, 4 December 2006 (UTC)
