"[…] the widow Hilts soldiered on, targeting the faction leader for seduction the very next week. Minions carefully delivered her to the leader's private bedchambers in a massive ceremonial urn. Unfortunately, the lid was stubborn, and no one had told her the leader was spending the month campaigning in the high country. However, she did achieve her surprise, if the horror of the cleaning servants counted."
Varner Hilts remembers the circumstances of his mother's death[src]

Against

  1. I really dislike that [contextual note] in there Enochf 05:35, May 30, 2012 (UTC)
  2. I just don't like the passage overall. Simply does not strike my fancy. And the bracketed bit makes it clunky. Trak Nar Ramble on 05:41, May 30, 2012 (UTC)

Comments

  • If people think that the bracketed note should be removed, then I'll remove it; I just thought the "Unfazed" would appear strange without some clarification (a clarification which I thought made the fact that she was trying to seduce this guy all the more amusing). In the meantime, I'll just sit back with raised eyebrows at the against vote after this reached +10. Jonjedigrandmaster (Talk) 21:18, May 31, 2012 (UTC)
    • You could just ditch the first phrase and add an ellipsis. That might satisfy everyone. ~SavageBOB sig 22:13, May 31, 2012 (UTC)
      • Sure, though it still technically requires brackets, so I don't know if that's going to make it any better for those who were against the brackets to begin with (and I still prefer using the actual phrase). *shrug* Jonjedigrandmaster (Talk) 01:52, June 1, 2012 (UTC)
