  • Nomination comments: Probably the smallest sentient species in Star Wars! And you can draw them too! Just take a pencil and touch the paper once. Congratulations, you've drawn a Hakarian!

  • Considering the fact that they were able to learn from the Jedi how to destroy the battle droids quite quickly (all it took was Skywalker showing them their target with the Force), it might be worth nothing in the Biology and appearance section that they were able to "learn new concepts" pretty rapidly, or something along those lines. Please see what you can do. CC7567 (talk) 22:20, August 21, 2010 (UTC)

Prepare to be savaged...
  • Can insects rightly be said to be "herded"? The word conjures up images of larger animals for me. Perhaps substitute "horded," "massed," or something else?
    • "Massed" should do the trick.
  • Is their ability to form their swarm into symbols a means of communication that they can use with people who don't know their language? If so, it could be clarified that this technique is useful to communicate general concepts regardless of language barriers. Also, rather than "shape of an object," "shape of a symbol" might be more appropriate, since they could presumably form their swarm into the shape of, say, an aurebesh letter.
    • How about this? I thought I'd use both "symbol" and "object."
  • Are they insects or insectoids? The article describes them variously as both, and our articles on those topics are little help (and should probably be merged). But thought I'd bring it up due to the inconsistency as per the way those articles stand now.
    • The way I see it, "insect" is always used to describe a non-sentient creature, while "insectoid" is a term that describes something—either a creature, a sentient species, or an inanimate object—that is related to insects or shares similar appearance and traits with them. This is evident from the articles, since Category:Insects is a subcategory of Category:Arthropods, which is, in turn, a subcategory of Category:Creatures, while Insectoid is listed in both Category:Insects and Category:Sentient species. The wikipedia article that describes the concept of Insectoids uses the similar terminology, as does MemoryAlpha's article. The Hakarian article is thus correct, since the Hakarians were sentient insectoids, who were confused for non-sentient insects. Does that make sense?
  • "and that they would suggest..." Who would suggest, the Jedi or the Hakarians? Otherwise, looks solid. ~ SavageBob 14:49, August 26, 2010 (UTC)
