A Geonosian
Insectoid was a term that described a species that had some characteristic of insects.[1] The Verpine were a famous example of a sentient insectoid species. While most insectoids possessed a hive mind, a number of them existed with only a partial hive-consciousness or simply as individuals within the greater species.
