  • For apostrophe possession regarding singular pronouns that end in s, you use "Ommis's" throughout the article but also "Veers'." Is there a reason for this lack of consistency between the two?
    • Yes. The way it's currently formatted is correct according to American English standards, which our policy describes: Words that end in an "S" sound should receive the apostrophe-s, whereas words that end in a "Z" sound should only get the apostrophe (although our policy leaves the formatting of "S" words optional, as long as it's consistent throughout the article). "Ommis" ends in an S sound, so I've opted to use the apostrophe-s; "Veers" ends in a Z sound, so it has only the apostrophe. Toprawa and Ralltiir (talk) 18:08, February 8, 2014 (UTC)
  • Quick clarification question: why exactly is {{1stm}} being used for the CCG card in the Sources, even though The Empire Strikes Back Notebook (and the ESB film/novel/junior novel) was released prior to then? It seems to be an oversight but I wanted to check with you first. CC7567 (talk) 17:42, February 8, 2014 (UTC)
    • Honestly, I agonized for literally hours over how to best format this. I ultimately decided that 1stm belongs on the CCG card, because, despite the retconning, that's where the character was literally first mentioned. He's not mentioned by name or indirectly as an individual in the Notebook, the film, or the novel, even though those items were published first. Those are rectonned indirect mentions that refer to either a group of pilots or Hobbie's snowspeeder, so I felt it would be disingenuous to place the 1stm tag on either of those.
