    • Do you know what objections are? They're about the article, not the subject. Just like talk pages. Objections address grammatical, formatting, or other errors, and they have to be addressed before an article can achieve a status. FAs and GAs aren't a way to show off your favorite article. • You need to mention that a dance move from Kinect Star Wars was called "Duel of Fates". No, I'm not kidding. Don't know if it's an IU one or not, but I know what we all hope. NaruHina Talk Anakinsolo 17:24, April 20, 2012 (UTC)
      • The Kinect game's article says it's a game mode, not a dance. Is that correct? Well, it's been added. MasterFredCommerce Guild(Whatever) 13:31, April 23, 2012 (UTC)
        • Yes, but it's also a dance move. NaruHina Talk Anakinsolo 16:11, April 23, 2012 (UTC)
          • Alrighty. Info added. MasterFredCommerce Guild(Whatever) 18:50, April 23, 2012 (UTC)
    • Also, the Use section has a lot of tense shifting. Pick past or present and stick with it throughout. NaruHina Talk Anakinsolo 20:53, April 21, 2012 (UTC)
      • A result of forgetting to rewrite that section. Should be done now. MasterFredCommerce Guild(Whatever) 13:31, April 23, 2012 (UTC)
        • Huh. Must have not been as bad as I thought. NaruHina Talk Anakinsolo 16:11, April 23, 2012 (UTC)
    • One more thing: Duel of the Fates (disambiguation). These should probably get a mention, especially the article. NaruHina Talk Anakinsolo 21:49, April 24, 2012 (UTC)
      • Added to the "In other media and merchandise" section. MasterFredCommerce Guild(Whatever) 02:05, April 27, 2012 (UTC)
"Anakin's Betrayal" is Still the Best Star Wars Track Out There
  • You mention the key twice in the intro.
    • Fixed.
  • I'm not entirely sure what you mean by "single word/syllable lines" (especially since the lyrics as posted have more than one word and more than one syllable to a line)
    • Ah, "lines" is not the appropriate word. Changed to "phrases."
      • I still don't understand what you're trying to say. Fewer than half the words have single syllables, and there's no single phrase throughout the whole thing that consists of a single syllable… Jonjedigrandmaster (Talk) 17:53, June 12, 2012 (UTC)
        • Hmm, it's hard to do because it's not in English. Perhaps if I added a translation to the lyrics?
          • Wait, do you mean that when translated to English the lyrics are all single-syllable words? Jonjedigrandmaster (Talk) 18:48, June 14, 2012 (UTC)
            • Yes. lol I think I see where you're going with this, so I made a change to the wording.
              • Ah, much better. Jonjedigrandmaster (Talk) 20:20, June 14, 2012 (UTC)
  • I think the "Conception and Development" could be split into two paragraphs. (I would've done this myself, but I'm not really sure where it would be most appropriate to split it, so I'll leave it up to you)
    • Separated.
  • In the intro and infobox you say the key is G major, but in the main body you say it's in E minor. (Those are relative keys, but they're not the same thing.) Which is it?
    • Oops. Should be G major. Fixed.
  • "…crescendoing into a chorus chant of two eighth notes followed by a rest…" You've mentioned how long the rests were up until this point, and it's best to stay consistent—how long is the rest here? (IIRC it's a quarter rest, yes?)
    • Clarified.
      • I don't see any changes. Jonjedigrandmaster (Talk) 17:53, June 12, 2012 (UTC)
        • Bah, had Internet connection problems. Guess it didn't save. Fixed now.
  • More of a suggestion than objection: what do you think about switching around some images? Namely, I think it would be good to put the soundtrack cover image (currently placed under "In the soundtracks") in the "Conception and Development" section; the image of the LSO (currently in "Conception and Development") right where the image of the Duel in Theed currently is; and the image of the Duel in Theed in the "In the movies" section. I feel like that placement would be more appropriate considering what the images represent. Thoughts?
    • Makes sense. Also moved the soundtrack cover up to "Conception" so the "Use" sections didn't get crowded.
  • "In Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones, 'Fates' is played when…" I assume "Fates" means "Duel of the Fates"? I don't think it's really worth shortening, because it might confuse readers into thinking it's referring to an actual track title on the AotC soundtrack that uses the "Duel of the Fates" theme, or something like that. (This goes for later mentions of "Fates" as well. Between "Duel of the Fates," "the composition," "the theme," "the piece," and possibly others, I think you have enough interchangeable words to keep yourself from sounding reptetive without having to use just "Fates")
    • Repetition was my fear. lol Changed.
  • Link for the battle between Obi-Wan and Vartonis?
    • There's no article. Create one? I could only do as good as a stub using the info on the Wook.
      • Yeah, go ahead and give it a stub. Jonjedigrandmaster (Talk) 18:48, June 14, 2012 (UTC)
        • I honestly don't think the event is notable enough for an article. It seems to simply be a small skirmish between an anonymous spacer and Vartoris. Hardly worthy IMO.
          • (On that note, could you reword the sentence to make it clear that the battle is between Vartonis and a spacer? All you have right now states that the player character fights Vartonis at the end, and since the game is named "Trials of Obi-Wan," it can be misleading—I didn't make the connection at first, and remember that not all readers will know how SWG worked). I mean…who battles are between doesn't dictate whether or not we make an article. It's a clearly specified skirmish that canonically exists, so we should have an article on it. Besides, it sounds like a very relevant event, as you currently call it "the climactic battle" of the expansion. And FWIW, you don't technically have to make the article yourself; you could just redlink it. Jonjedigrandmaster (Talk) 15:08, June 20, 2012 (UTC)
            • Ugh. Redlink, the menace. I hate them, but I've linked it anyway. I'll see what I can conjure up for a stub later.
  • In the "In the Expanded Universe" section, go ahead and mention when something the theme appears in is non-canon (such as the LEGO games)
    • Done.
  • Links for the duels between Shan and Darach and Malgus and Vindican?
    • Linked.
  • For some video games, you link the event to the game level (e.g. you link "The Final Assault" to Naboo Space Battle). I think that's a good idea, but you need to be consistent about it. Please go through your other game levels and link them to their events as appropriate.
    • Better?
      • Yep. Just to verify: is the "tenth mission" of Star Wars: Episode I Jedi Power Battles already linked earlier? Jonjedigrandmaster (Talk) 15:08, June 20, 2012 (UTC)
        • Yes. It's the Second Battle of Theed, linked in the "Conception" section.
  • Why do you mention usage of the theme in trailers in both the "In the Expanded Universe" and "In other media and merchendise" sections. Why not put that information in just one section?
    • The Return trailer is a canonical source which depicts a story. I treated it as any other piece of canon that does such. The trailer for TCW just shows clips from the movie.
  • As a note: remember to use last names after characters' first mentions; not first. Also, the linking was extremely inconsistent; please be more careful about your linking in the future. Jonjedigrandmaster (Talk) 20:02, May 25, 2012 (UTC)
    • I will. Thanks for the advice! And sorry for the delay. I was at Disney World on a band trip. :P MasterFredCommerce Guild(Whatever) 16:46, June 1, 2012 (UTC)
      • Hah no worries, you still have two weeks to get to the rest of the objections. :) Jonjedigrandmaster (Talk) 17:07, June 1, 2012 (UTC)
        • I'm slowly making my way through these as I get time. I hope to have all yours taken care of today or tomorrow. MasterFredCommerce Guild(Whatever) 17:46, June 14, 2012 (UTC)
          • No worries; as long as you're actively working on these, I'm happy to give you some extra time if you need it. Jonjedigrandmaster (Talk) 18:48, June 14, 2012 (UTC)
Savaged…
  • Should the duel in "Duel in Theed" be capitalized? Is this the official name of this duel? If not, I don't think the D should be uppercase.
    • Changed.
  • In the intro, can you specify that the duel in Theed is a scene from the movie and that the participants are characters in the movie?
    • Wow. How did I forget that? Fixed.
  • Context on London Voices in the lead and body. Are they a choir?
    • Context...ed.
  • Can you give a brief description in the body about what the Second Battle of Theed is? Something like, the climax of the film, during which the Trade Federation cartel blah blah blah..."
    • Better?
  • "reduced the stanza" -- the song has only one stanza?
    • No, but he only used one stanza. I clarified it a few sentences up.
  • "and the horns and trumpets trade out on the primary melody" -- isn't a trumpet a type of horn?
    • A trumpet is a horn, per se, but when French horns are mentioned, any mention of "horns" that follows pretty much always refers to the French horns. Almost every wind instrument is a horn in some fashion, so it's assumed that "horn" refers to French horn.
      • OK, but perhaps use "French horn" throughout to avoid confusion? ~SavageBOB sig 16:49, July 25, 2012 (UTC)
        • Done.
  • You introduce "the dialogue version" without telling us what that is.
    • Clarified.
  • "as Darth Maul and the Jedi activate their lightsabers" -- when exactly? Each time they do so?
    • Also clarified.
  • Context on droideka.
    • Context added.
  • Context on Darth Vader and why he's dueling Obi-Wan, whether this is in-universe context or OOU (it's the climax of the film).
    • Context added.
  • Context on Yoda and Palpatine and why they are dueling.
    • Not exactly sure what you want. Is this ok?
  • I'm not sure music can "appear" technically. Would "features" work as a substitute for "makes an appearance"?
    • Ah yes, makes sense. I've changed a few. I'll look through to see if any more lurk in any dark corners.
  • Can you add release dates for the items discussed in the Expanded Universe section? That'll help us figure out the order of when these things appeared, and how far after TPM they were.
    • Added. Should I order them all, or are they fine as is?
      • It wouldn't hurt, but I'll leave it to you to decide. :) ~SavageBOB sig 16:49, July 25, 2012 (UTC)
  • I think the EU section in general needs to be a bit more specific about when the theme is played. It's not enough to just say it plays in Level 2 or whatever. We need a bit of description about what Level 2 or whatever is all about, what is happening when the music comes in.
    • Most of the time it's just background music for the level in general. If it only plays during a specific part, it is mentioned.
  • Context on Ventress and wy she's fighting Anakin.
  • Ditto for Vartoris and his duel.
  • Please spell out MMORPG, since it's still a gamer-specific term.
    • Spelled out.
  • Context on Dallows.
    • Better?
  • What's going on in the cinematic sequence it's in from ROTS the video game?
    • Info added.
  • Can you give a description of what the "Duel of the Fates" dance move looks like?
    • Naru claimed it was a dance move, but I can find nothing on it, so I removed the info.
      • As linked above, skip to 4:20. This was a presentation piece, so I wouldn't have been shocked if it was removed from the game prior to release. However, you can see the hologram girl do it the final game, in glorious 1080p, starting at 3:16. NaruHina Talk Anakinsolo 21:41, August 10, 2012 (UTC)
        • Didn't realize it said it on the side. Info added.
  • If "Qui-Gon's Noble End" includes a cut from DotF, this should be mentioned in its own right, not only in the context of SWTOR.
    • Don't know how I missed that. Added.
  • Can we get publication date and authors for Coruscant and the Core Worlds?
    • Done.
  • Can we get publication dates for the sheet music versions?
    • Done.
  • Context needed throughout the "In popular culture" section, if only to indicate that these are characters from the various things you're referencing.
    • Contextifried (chicken).
  • Are there no more reviews of the song? As the most recognizable tune from a major, highly anticipated movie scored by a god of movie soundtracks, there must be more reviews out there of TPM soundtrack that talk about the song. I'd guess Rolling Stone and Variety maybe would have reviewed it, and probably lots of other sources too. And what about the re-releases? Did any of those soundtracks get reviewed? Check metacritic.com and some 1999 journal databases and see what you come with.
    • Actually, I was surprised to find out that there isn't much out there. I already researched this when Menk suggested adding the section, and what I have is all i could find. None of the above mentioned sites has anything.
      • Hmm. You may need to try the library here. I hate to say it, but 1999 was still when the Web was kind of young. I find it hard to believe no one reviewed the soundtrack of such a major motion picture... ~SavageBOB sig 19:43, July 24, 2012 (UTC)
        • Oh no, it's not that there isn't anything on the soundtrack. I've found plenty of reviews on the soundtrack. Just no one really talks specifically about the "Duel of the Fates" track. MasterFredCommerce Guild(Whatever) 15:16, July 25, 2012 (UTC)

The article's very good, Fred. Just needs some spit and polish to get it the rest of the way. :) ~SavageBOB sig 05:02, June 9, 2012 (UTC)

  • Thanks for the review, Bob! lol And also thanks for your patience. College, work, trips, and cramming numerous instrument lessons have got me busier than I need to be. lol I'm on vacation right now. :P MasterFredCommerce Guild(Whatever) 15:45, July 9, 2012 (UTC)

  • Please check this anon edit for accuracy. - Cavalier OneFarStar(Squadron channel) 10:02, August 2, 2012 (UTC)
    • I'd say yes. I was actually considering this the other day. It should be accurate.
Corn on the cob
  • There are some more sheet music books that feature this piece --- I have this one for trombone; a quick google search reveals that it's also available for violin, too. There are probably a few other sheet music books (and certainly some more instruments for which they're available) that you could find by googling. Menkooroo (talk) 01:04, August 3, 2012 (UTC)
    • Totally forgot about that book. Yes, there are more editions, which I've added. No, there aren't any more books.
      • Kill that intro redlink. I also strongly recommend addressing Bob's remaining two-month old objections before getting to the newer one-week old ones. Menkooroo (talk) 20:48, August 7, 2012 (UTC)
        • Done.
  • I was wrong about my book --- it's actually this one. The arrangements are by Tony Esposito, who I'd like to see name-dropped in the article. Each song, including Duel of the Fates, has a solo part, a duet part, and a trio part. I have the bass clef book, but there's also a C book, a B flat book, an E flat book, and a piano accompaniment book. It came with a CD. Menkooroo (talk) 02:47, August 8, 2012 (UTC)
    • Info added.
  • "This could indicate that the tune may be of Zhell origin in-universe, as this is a phonetic excerpt of lyrics from "Duel of the Fates."" I think this sentence needs a bit of an explanation on how the Zhell are related to the Coruscant Ice Crypts. Also, can you word it less speculatively than "this could indicate" ?
    • Better?
  • Since LEGO Star Wars is an official thing, I think the Ace Assault II stuff belongs in the EU section rather than the popular culture section. Menkooroo (talk) 16:50, August 9, 2012 (UTC)
    • Moved.
  • Is the theme definitely not in the Episode I video game? I haven't played the game in years, but I seem to remember it playing in the background at some point. The music video is included in the video game as a kind of special feature; that might be worth a mention in the EU section.
    • Found it at 39:22 here. It also plays during the end credits at the end of the same video. Side note: The video features the Naboo parade, but a song other than Augie's Great Municipal band is playing. Maybe worth a BTS mention in Symponik Nabooalla? Menkooroo (talk) 20:24, August 9, 2012 (UTC)
      • Awesome. Added. And also added to Symponik. Thanks for that catch. ;)
  • Also, the intro mentions that the music video is a trailer, but the body of the article doesn't identify it as such. Menkooroo (talk) 20:09, August 9, 2012 (UTC)
    • Fixed.
  • Almost done. I think it's important to note that the music video was a watchable bonus feature in the Episode I video game. Menkooroo (talk) 02:27, August 11, 2012 (UTC)
    • Added it to the "In other media..." section.

  • There were some formatting issues and overlinking, all of which were corrected in my copy-edits. To be safe, I would go through the entire article to double check linking. The parenthesis—i.e, (2006)—did confuse me a bit due to the info being all jumbled up in tight paragraphs. JangFett (Talk) 03:46, August 6, 2012 (UTC)
