More of a comment than an objection but I'd have thought the mission videos included with the strategy guide depicted the canon version of Ace's actions. I'm not going to write "First he fought the bombers, and he dual-linked his lasers. He remembered to rearm, and set his shields at 25%, and his lasers at 75%..."
