Nelvaan is placed on the map in the Star Wars: The Force Awakens Beginner Game, and the article needs to be updated accordingly.Imperators II(Talk) 09:06, May 17, 2017 (UTC)- Oh wow, I didn't actually expect other canon sources to acknowledge it. Anyway, updated. MasterFred

- Impressive. I'd like to see two more things, however:
The image should be re-cropped to 400px width per the Layout Guide.- Larger image uploaded. MasterFred

DarthRuiz30 is right, that's not actually the Beginner Game map, it's an FFG Legends map. You'll have to reupload it.~~- JMAS was able to upload a scan of the TFA BG map for me. MasterFred

It should be noted in the article's body and the infobox that Nelvaan lay on a large hyperroute and what other worlds it was thus connected to. I think it can be deduced from its sources that it's the canon Triellus Trade Route; if not, you can always just go with "unidentified blah hyperspace route blah".Imperators II(Talk) 16:30, May 17, 2017 (UTC)- Yeah, I agree that it can be deduced to the Triellus Trade Route based on a couple sources. I'll update accordingly when I get the chance. MasterFred

- I've updated the article and tried to make the reference note the least convoluted that I could. MasterFred

The backup link in ref 7 doesn't really work. Can you provide the correct link?- Ah, it appears when I pasted the link I forgot to remove the "starwars.com." Taken care of. MasterFred

Let's see that intro that'll bring this to the glory of GAN.Imperators II(Talk) 05:49, May 22, 2017 (UTC)- Never mind, this falls under the exception of Rule 13. Imperators II(Talk) 05:50, May 22, 2017 (UTC)
- Yeah, I think even with an intro, the majority of the article would still be Bts. MasterFred

Since grid point exist IU (see Standard Galactic Grid), that information will have to be moved to the article's main body. But, hey, that means you get to remove that sentence from the Bts entirely.-AV-6R7Crew Pit 14:55, May 22, 2017 (UTC)
- How do we know that these grid coordinates are not simply game mechanics? MasterFred
(Whatever) 22:41, May 22, 2017 (UTC)
- The system used in Rogue One: Rebel Dossier (written as an IU document) matches the TEA system to a T, and both were created, at least in part, by Jason Fry. -

- Just a notice that I haven't forgotten about this. I'm on vacation and will check this as soon as possible. MasterFred
(Whatever) 11:55, May 27, 2017 (UTC)
- Ok, if that source is written from an IU perspective, that makes sense. Do we know if the grid is identical to the one used for the Beginner Game? MasterFred
(Whatever) 23:29, June 1, 2017 (UTC)
- Same notations, and the man behind RD is also the guy who created that particular grid system. -

- Seems like enough to me. I'll update the article. Thanks! MasterFred

Comments
- Just so there are no objections about it later, Fred, I uploaded a cropped version of the map image that is scanned from TFA BG book. Someone seemed to be causing a stink about the fact that the version you uploaded was from a Legends source, even though the section of the map you are using is identical on both versions. - JMAS

- Im fairly certain that this article will surpass 250 words after I update with the trade route info and add an intro. It's already at 222. Might be moving this to the GAN tomorrow. MasterFred
(Whatever) 09:29, May 19, 2017 (UTC)
- I see the note above about grid points being IU now, but I'm still not sure if it should be listed there since it is against our Layout Guide stipulations. Corellian Premier

- Perhaps we can update it with different requirements for canon and Legends articles. -
AV-6R7Crew Pit 16:40, June 19, 2017 (UTC)
- In the case of canon articles, mentioning the coordinates in article's body does not conflict with the Layout Guide, since the policy right now only prohibits doing so for Legends articles: "All infobox material must be detailed in the article proper, with the following exceptions: [...] Map grid coordinates from The Essential Atlas and Star Wars: The Essential Atlas Online Companion, which are not necessarily intended as in-universe material". Imperators II(Talk) 05:34, June 20, 2017 (UTC)
- We may need to write up a CT on this, but until then, I feel we sure err on the side of accuracy as opposed to uniformity. MasterFred
