Lizard-crow

  • Nominated by: RattsT (talk) 08:52, August 15, 2020 (UTC)
  • Nomination comments: Sounds gross but I'd like to pet them anyway. Twinned with molten man.

  • Same objection regarding the attribution of quotations as with the molten men nom.
    • Done. RattsT (talk) 10:02, August 15, 2020 (UTC)
      • Looking for something more specific than "the Imperials." - - -CIS roundel OOM 224 ༼༽{talk}༼༽ 10:15, August 15, 2020 (UTC)
        • "Imperials" seems fine to me for the purposes of this article, I doubt anyone would be confused on who it's referring to. I'm opting not to use the same attribution line from the other page for variety's sake. RattsT (talk) 10:22, August 15, 2020 (UTC)
  • Same objection regarding the bts section as with the molten men nom.
    • See other nom. RattsT (talk) 10:02, August 15, 2020 (UTC)
  • If the only information on lizard-crows is that one quote, then "often scared off" is speculation and should be removed. - - -CIS roundel OOM 224 ༼༽{talk}༼༽ 09:44, August 15, 2020 (UTC)
    • Altered slightly. RattsT (talk) 10:02, August 15, 2020 (UTC)

  • "They were known to be scared off by what the Mustafarian people referred to as "molten men."". It'd be good to say that they were known by Mother Sssl etc. Braha'tok enthusiast (Hello there) 20:09, August 16, 2020 (UTC)
    • Done. RattsT (talk) 20:44, August 16, 2020 (UTC)
QGJ
  • We don't usually specify that the mention occurred in a flashback; this is only reserved for actual appearances. You should just use {{1stm}} here. QuiGonJinn Senate seal(Talk) 14:01, August 17, 2020 (UTC)
    • Sorry to intervene here, but we have examples where that template usage is acceptable (Beilert Valance's grandfather, Kolivo, CT-720, BT-823). UberSoldat93 ClanMudhornSignet-Redemption (talk) 14:25, August 17, 2020 (UTC)
      • I'm inclined to agree with Shay here. An objection I received on molten man was to specifically use that formatting. RattsT (talk) 19:53, August 17, 2020 (UTC)
        • I'm striking this, since we do not have an established rule on this matter. However, from personal experience throughout all the years on the site, I can say with a fair degree of certainty that the general practice was to just list such instances as {{1stm}} only. In my opinion, this makes the most sense, since a mention is just a mention, be it in the main narrative or in a flashback. This may not be an issue for short articles, but for major articles with lots of appearances, such formatting will just create unneccessary visual clatter in a section which tends to be littered with templates as it is. At the very least, if we are going to be specifying that the mention occured in a flashback, we should do so constistently across all articles. The examples provided above use a combination of {{Mo}} and {{Flash}}, while this article uses a custom template. QuiGonJinn Senate seal(Talk) 12:34, August 19, 2020 (UTC)
UberSoldat
  • Can you include the comic book series' name in the BTS? UberSoldat93 ClanMudhornSignet-Redemption (talk) 08:28, August 27, 2020 (UTC)
    • Would that not be redundant since the issue's name already covers that? "Lizard-crows were mentioned in Star Wars Adventures: Return to Vader's Castle 5, the fifth issue of Star Wars Adventures: Return to Vader's Castle…" is clunky. RattsT (talk) 20:55, August 27, 2020 (UTC)
      • The precedent is to specify the series as well. You can just pipelink the comic issue page to "fifth issue." UberSoldat93 ClanMudhornSignet-Redemption (talk) 20:57, August 27, 2020 (UTC)
        • Alright, taken care of on both. RattsT (talk) 21:20, August 27, 2020 (UTC)
