- I checked the MOS and couldn't see anything to confirm that, outside of Template:Quote, we use or don't use italics. The example there has a few words and afaik standards are that short quotes that are a partial sentence don't need italics, whilst full sentence/long quotes should generally use italics. Did a quick google and some articles seem to indicate it should and some that it shouldn't. I personally prefer consistency and italicize quotes in prose.
