- "Hey there, Sevn. Uh, just finally getting back to you about that assassin protocol. Looks like it might be tech developed by the assassin group, Winger. They might know how to uninstall it."
- ―A Trandoshan, in a private message to Sevn
Winger was an assassin group active during the reign of the Galactic Republic.[1] By 19 BBY,[2] the bounty hunter Sevn contacted a Trandoshan about an assassin protocol she had installed in her droid partner IV-A4 that she was trying to remove. The Trandoshan later sent Sevn a private message informing her they believed the assassin protocol was developed by Winger and that the group may know how to uninstall it.[1]
Following a disagreement during a job on[1] the planet[3] Genya over whether to betray their employer, Zonus Corporation CEO Jin-Sim Canbelon, IV-A4 left Sevn and intended to take their gunship, the Sand Bird, as payment. On the Sand Bird, IV-A4 viewed the Trandoshan's private message to Sevn mentioning Winger. The two bounty hunters later reunited, and as they departed the planet aboard the Sand Bird, IV-A4 asked Sevn if she wanted to visit Winger's base, causing her to realize the droid had viewed her private messages.[1]
