IV-A4 first appeared in "The Bounty Hunters", a non-canon short film directed by Junichi Yamamoto that is part of the third volume of the Star Wars: Visions series. The animated short, produced by WIT Studio, released on Disney+ on October 29, 2025. The character was first introduced at the Star Wars: Visions panel at Celebration Japan on April 19, 2025.[2] IV-A4 is voiced by Tomokazu Sugita in the original Japanese version and by Ronny Chieng in the English dub.[1] Several lines spoken by IV-A4 were not in the original script and were improvised by Sugita.[4]
