WA-2G droids were a type of attendant droid that were in operation by the time of the Republic Era.[1] In 40 BBY,[2] one such droid served in the Pijali monarchy's royal palace on the Inner Rim planet Pijal and helped Rael Averross—the Jedi lord regent of Pijal—prepare for the Pijali Princess Fanry's then-upcoming coronation. After the droid finished styling the man, the pair conversed about his appearance.[1]

Behind the scenes

In the current Star Wars canon, a WA-2G droid appeared in Master & Apprentice, a 2019 novel written by Claudia Gray.[1] In the Star Wars Legends continuity, WA-2 waitress droids debuted in the 2006 novel Outbound Flight, authored by Timothy Zahn.[3]
