The Vur system was located in the Ojoster sector of the Outer Rim Territories in the galaxy. The system was located in grid square N-7 of the Standard Galactic Grid.[1]

The Vur system was mentioned in the current Star Wars canon in the appendix Star Systems of the Galaxy, published on the StarWars.com website on June 24, 2025.[1] In the Star Wars Legends continuity, Vur IV is a planet where it was first mentioned in the 2022 video game Star Wars: The Old Republic: Legacy of the Sith, the eighth digital expansion to the video game Star Wars: The Old Republic.[2]
