Vosh was a potent, two-hundred proof alcoholic beverage. Vosh possessed a distinct sky-blue coloration, and could be paired with small lumps of geref that would bob and float in the alcohol once added, only to slowly sublime into vapor over time.[1]

Bar Jaraniz, an unsavory tapcaf on Nar Shaddaa, possessed at least one spiral bottle of vosh with added geref. The tapcaf served glasses of vosh to patrons, along with water or ale. One of the bartenders that worked at the establishment was known to use vosh in the construction of an elaborate cocktail, alongside a number of fruit segments and skewers.[1]

Behind the scenes

Vosh was first introduced to the Star Wars universe in the New Jedi Order era e-novella entitled Boba Fett: A Practical Man, written by author Karen Traviss and published in August, 2006.[1]

Described in the novella as two-hundred-proof alcohol, this suggests that vosh is meant to be understood as an example of pure alcohol. In reality, pure alcohol rarely exists outside of a laboratory. Once the alcohol is opened to the air, it begins to absorb moisture from the surrounding atmosphere, and will thus self-dilute down to approximately 194 proof.[2]
